Lost season 5 episode 12

Oh my god, oh my god, oh my god!!
what an episode. especially for someone like me who never liked ben a bit, this is a glorious episode. not as good as if ben had been dismembered by the “smoke monster”.
john lock is now no longer a simple human. like christian resuscitated (as a ghost? as a island spirit? or was it the island impersonating him?) so does John Lock. but now we get closer to the resuscitated character. this john lock is not just the old john lock. he is the same, as he says Sun, but he is also a lot more than he used to be.
he has accepted the sacrifices that the island has asked of him and now has been somehow rewarded with some degree of inner knowledge; a deeper understanding and greater knowledge, greater than ben’s:
“you don’t have the first idea what this island wants” says ben;
and john, opening his eys, with a almost sinister grin on his face goes: “are you sure about that”.
5 long years, from that beach filled with survivors, to this scene here. 4 long years and seasons of small steps, that sometimes felt like we were not moving at all, and now, in this 5th season, in just 12 episodes, we have a bunch of survivors lost in the future; ben as the fallen god, john and god reborn or reborn as a god; in 12 episodes we have come to lose (or so it would appear), 2 characters like Charlotte and Daniel Faraday, an improbable mix of surviver, ex-other and the “people from the boat” have now lived 3 years in the past and have just been joined by some disoriented survivers, jack, hurley and kate.
it almost fill like they are working on a crescendo of shocking surprises maybe to administer one final blow; however, since they want to make 2 more seasons (this is what I think I have read), it could just be that this season will be left at the peak of a plot high as we have not yet seen; which means a long hot dry summer waiting for season 6.
