tech review: Amplified indoor Aerial for UK freeview digital terrestrial and DAB radio

it all starts with our flat aerial plug, which doesn’t work. the cable from the aerial on the roof is broken, but we don’t know where.

that was the verdict of the antenna technician.

either a very expensive bill to replace the cable (having to break the walls in parts of the flat) , or an indoor aerial. after a lot of thinking and browsing and researching I sent my girlfriend, because I didn’t trust myself, to the local Maplin and she came back with this model, the One For All (R) Amplified Indoor Aerial which is really light, thin, easy to assemble and place.

Basically it works. We see a lot of channels that we never saw before, and the quality is good. Not perfect, mind you; occasionally there is the loss of signal and the fall of quality, the pixellation, the loss of audio; let’s say the aerial work 90% to 95% percent of the time.

Cost approx. 15gbp
