movie review: Sweet Rush (Tatarak) by Andrzej Wajda

multi layered and self referential, perhaps even recursive?, this movie changed when tragedy struck and E. Klosinski, collaborator to A. Wajda and husband of main actress Krystyna Janda died during the shoot.

It was then that the monologues of Krystyna Janda, talking of her husband but also in theme with the story of the movie, where added.

It has all elements of an intense movie but somehow it seems to miss its own mark. It feels tired, like going down to a road progressively narrow until you get stuck and there is no more moving: no going forward , no going back.
