they don’t make it any easier (short rant on TFL on a day of delays)so it’s delays on hammersmith and city, circle and metropolitan line.at royal oak i skip a train, too full; bad move; next one come after 20 mins and it’s even worse. then we get to edgeware road and the train terminates, at platform 3, so climb the stairs, go over the bridge and change to platform 1 and 2; wait for first eastbound train; way too crowded; wait for the second; at the second they announce next train is only 3 mins behind. So I start queueing in front of the train that is supposed to depart immediately and to be followed in 3 mins by a better train. But this train is not leaving; I see the light go green, the train doesn’t move. Few minutes later, the announcement; waiting for a driver. And finally here comes the driver, unhurried, to take the train. This wait adds an extra 5 to 6 minutes wait on a green light. Could they have avoided it with better organization a bit more attention to the passengers? |
