I saw this in Florence, Italy and I was shocked:

Few meters away from this “automatic cafe” is one of my favourite Florence restaurants: Le Campane, the food is really good, the prices are reasonable and a friendly service.

Although maybe this automatic cafe is Gibsonian in inspiration (William Gibson, father of cyberspace and cyberpunk literature), it’s really not in his natural place here in Florence, Italy. Maybe in Tokyo, in Chiba or in New York; and London of course, Amsterdam (where they already have the Febo chain (which proclaims to be de lekkerste, la piu’ buona di tutte! – ma persino febo ha operatori umani dietro al bancone e anche dietro gli slot da cui ritirare una bella krokett in cambio di una moneta), but certainly not in Florence, which is one of the many centres or good food in italy if you discount the horrible touristic places in the centre.
