tube misery

25/11/2010
I didn’t think of this at the time, but the very funny side of this story is that
as if traveling by tube wasn’t bad enough, last friday i saw this:

Seriously? Just as I was thinking that any other decent underground/metro system i know (tokyo, frankfurt, berlin, amsterdam, washington) has plenty of escalators up to ground level, i saw this.
i think they make a mission for themselves to make our lives miserable.
obviously the mayor lives central enough to cycle to work (when he is not driven like all the vips), so what does he know?

I like how they us the word “we” when in fact they have elevators in their office buildings and air-conditioning in their office buildings which they will never do with out. The company I work for promotes the same lies. They say,”turn off your work trucks in 105F because we are “going green” while they/mngt run the air-condition in their offices like it’s a meat locker. In Florida if you leave an animal in your car in the summer you can be arrested for animal cruelty but if you are a human it’s o.k. to have your brain boiled by the heat. Nice.
