Nokia e71: how to find the IMEI and the MAC address for wifi networks.
IMEI
type the following sequence as if you were dialling a number:
*#06#
the number will be displayed. quickly take a not of it before the display light is dimmed.
in alternative, turn off the phone, remove the back cover and the battery and you will find a sticker with the IMEI.
WLAN or WIFI MAC address
You need this if you want to use your phone on a wireless network with access control via MAC address.
type the following on the keyboard as if you were dialling a number:
*#62209526#
It will show the MAC address in a format like xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx (where x can be a number from 0 to 9 or a letter from a to f).
This too can be found on the sticker at the back of the phone, under the battery.
