I saw this in Florence, Italy and I was shocked: Few meters away from this “automatic cafe” is one of my favourite Florence restaurants: Le Campane, the food is really good, the prices are reasonable and a friendly service. Although maybe this automatic cafe is Gibsonian in inspiration (William Gibson, father of cyberspace and cyberpunk [...] japanese restaurant which specialises in okonomiyaki, which is like the japanase version of a pancake. Wikipedia has a page on okonomiyaki. They also do other foods, like Om-soba, tempura onigiri and so on. The food is ok, not like a culinary experience but very nice. It is probably on the side of more contemporary easy going [...] I swear it is true! Today we had breakfast at this restaurant and John Landis was there with 2 other people (initially we thought Aidan Turner from Being Human but I think it wasn’t him). Very exciting. Let me state this immediately: this is a very very posh establishment and it can be intimidating; however [...] Truly geek restaurant experience: order using your table as an interactive ordering (and more) system. Basically you have a menu of items beamed to your table and a trackpad with a cursor (arrow shaped); from here you can select your drinks, your food and place the order directly; each person at the table can place [...] Couldn’t be more central to London. The doorman in top hat already sets the Wolseley above my average breakfast experience. I have only been for breakfast or Sunday brunch. First time I had a superb Wiener Schnitzel with potato mash.
