I loop like an infinite while statement. Instead of reading new books, I can’t help being drawn back to old books read and reread many times over. Mona Lisa Overdrive is one of those, like really any other William Gibson’s books. and yet every time I reread a WG’s book, it’s like the first time. [...] I have just finished watching BSG reimagined for the second time, from the miniseries to the end of season 4. It took 25 years to go from the the original BSG concept and series, to the new series which is, without any shadow of doubt (and according to the general consensus), THE best sci-fi series [...] this is actually a re-read. many a-years ago I read this book translated in italian and obviously it struck me as a great book. i loved the ideas in it, especially the ideas about revolution and freedom and fighting for ideals and TANSAATAFL. Great SF book. The website SCIFI.co.uk, has just published the results of a poll conducted within its community asking which the 20 best scifi (and fantasy and horror) movies. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to contribute for lack of time, but here are the results. In bold my absolute number one for the decade, the first ever Star Trek [...] is it me or none of this marvel movies seem to get the story straight? all sorts of mix ups, time lines, characters etc.. etc.. maybe I have lost a lot of stories since I last read and collected marvel comics.
