there is lot of ice cream in florence, especially downtown. but most of it it’s crap! it’s made with chemicals, powders and syrups.nice genuine ice cream made with real fruits and nuts is not necessarily that easy to find. one hidden gem, a little bit off the beaten track is Gelateria Ermini, in Via Gioberti [...] 1) it’s a good hotel with high level of service, good facilities and great food 2) the beach is relatively small but it seems adequate although a bit cramped and crowded at times 3) it shows a bit of ageing in small details, a bit of rust here a bit of rush there but fundamentally [...] i need to learn to take reviews “cum grano salis”, even those on tripavisor. looking for a hotel in a complicated last minute trip, i read these good reviews about this hotel. it didn’t work out like that at all. i’ll explain in a pros and cons type of analyses.
